Personally, I Hate The Rise of Skywalker so much. The Rise of Skywalker is an awful film, it is the Worst Star Wars Film ever made, and The Rise of Skywalker was an absolute mess. The Rise of Skywalker along with Flash Gordon 1980 with Sam J. Jones, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and The Last Jedi are one of the worst movies that I have ever seen in my life, The Last Jedi was terrible, and I already hate both Flash Gordon 1980 and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. The Rise of Skywalker and The Last Jedi both destroyed my love for the Star Wars Franchise, Flash Gordon 1980 with Sam J. Jones is a pretty awful film, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was the downfall of the Kevin Smith films. Overall, I Hate The Rise of Skywalker and The Rise of Skywalker is an absolute failure. The Rise of Skywalker along with Flash Gordon 1980 with Sam J. Jones and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back are all awful films that I hate, The Last Jedi by Rian Johnson was pretty terrible, and I have no interest in watching The Rise of Skywalker, Flash Gordon 1980, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back ever again.

You know what's sad, in one year, this movie is forgotten. Episode 9 of star wars is all but forgotten. you can dislike the prequals all you like, they have staying power and we have had fun with the memes for over a decade now. And yet I can't remember one line said my anyone in the sequels that wasn't in a trailer.

The star destroyers couldn't leave because they were actually doing a 40k crossover. Without the beacon they would have gotten lost in the warp.

I've watched both film 8 & film 9 once, I literally can't be bothered to remember their proper titles. I watched Force Awakens at the Cinema & was really excited at the prospect of having a Star wars film with original iconic ships, how naive was I 😔.

Wait, Keri Russell was in this movie?! Ye gods! What a waste of a fantastic actress! And honestly, yeah, Poe could have so easily been gay or bi. Heck, while we're at it, why not just make Poe, Finn and Rey a polyamorous throuple? All of the actors and characters have strong chemistry, which could easily have gone romantic for any or all of them, and it would be a fantastic way to subvert the traditional love triangle they attempted.

Star Wars: Waste of potential, time and money. Their only "success" was that a lot of people now completely lost interessint in star wars.

My takeaway was that the Palpatine in Rise of Skywalker was the rescued, reanimated corpse of the Emperor who was brought back to life by his minions using the dark side magic he used to keep Vader alive. Palpatine dangled the carrot of “keeping people from dying” to Anakin in Episode 3. I don’t like the novelization and canon stories, but one that did make sense to me was that Palpy had the ability to give Vader a better suit and treatment, but chose not to, to keep Vader dependent on him, and keep him from overpowering him. Also, Vader’s suffering made him a more powerful Sith, so there’s that. I’m convinced Palpatine was able to bring anyone back from death, and reanimate them, like Dr. Frankenstein, but kept it from Anakin, and kept it to himself.

On comparing TLJ to RoS, all I can say is that TLJ had me contemplating for a few minutes if I hated it or not. RoS had me questioning my love of all of Star Wars within seconds of it being over.

So is there going to be a plinkett review of this?

They ruined Luke because we don't really see how he gets from who he is in Episode 6 vs who he is in Episode 8. He made a map to find him, but says he came to that island just to die. He's been there for like 20 or 30 years or whatever doing basically nothing, moping over one failure as he abandons everything and everyone he cares about to die. Even Mark Hamill hates it. How is it even a point of contention that Luke got ruined?

They specifically show that he is the way he is because he made Kylo turn to the dark side by accident, it's kind of a big part of the movie's plot, did you miss it? And it was never said that he left the map, why would he? it's the map he used to find the planet he exiled himself in and everyone is basically following his footsteps to find him.

Oh don't worry, it will be explained in a comic book, novels and video games.

I think you need to think about the expanded universe of star wars the novels, comics and the computer games. Sith magic’s bringing palpatine back from life, the knights of the old republic game with “star forge” that made imperial type of ships, a left over legacy from the “Rekata empire”. I agree that the franchise has become a complete mess.

Next SW Trilogy - Rey is NOT a Palpatine. She's a Skywalker actually, the first Skywalker at the dawn of time and Rey is a reincarnation of that Skywalker. Rey along with Palpatine conjure the Universe into existence while they're fighting the eternal battle of Light VS. Dark with their blue and red lightsabers while riding a donkey and an elephant.... maybe I should copyright this in case Disney gets any ideas.

You guys should of touched on the knights of Ren more. I have a fan theory that Kylo knew he was going to betray everyone at somepoint (because he’s really edgy like that) so he gave his own personal body guards really cool customized looking weapons, but secretly it was tricking them into a false sense of security cus none of the weapons actually work against lightsabers.... it’s actually quite a tactical move on his part and was being built up over the course of the three films. You would have only noticed it if you pay enough attention to details like me.

Well, you were half right on that whole “Palpatine is a clone” thing. The Palpatine we saw in the original and prequel trilogies was actually him, while the one in the sequels he was inhabiting was the clone body, which apparently looks so deformed the way it does because the dark side is literally making it rot a lot quicker and worse. It’s the same exact idea that they took from Dark Empire. So either way you look at it, canon or Legends, Palpatine comes back in a clone body... yeah, I suppose it was inevitable.
